Matt & Belinda

Matt and Belinda are having a baby! These two were MADE to be parents, and their little guy has no idea how blessed he is to have them as his parents. Belinda has had a perfect pregnancy. And when I say perfect, I mean it - and say it with a little bit of envy! No problems sleeping, no sickness, no discomfort, no hips popping out of their sockets, no crazy cravings... she's just sailing right along and looking great! I know, all you mommies out there, don't hold it against her. She and Matt are two of the neatest people you could ever know. They're self-proclaimed "naturists" and wanted to make sure their session was outdoors, so we ended up at the same lake where they had their first date! Say it with me: Awwww! They're both incredibly talented people, Matt paints, Belinda is into photography, they both love and make music - Matt wrote songs both for his beautiful bride on their wedding day, and for his new son on the way! Because of their artsiness (my word), they were super open to anything, especially Belinda, who was quite the trooper! Thank both of you for giving me some freedom and indulging me in all of my requests! I am so very proud of the results, and I hope you love them as much as I do!!! They're so close to meeting him!

Matt and Belinda, thank you so much! You were incredible, and I know that's not going to stop once baby N gets here! Belinda, I do hope you continue to be so comfortable... stock up on that sleep while you can! I loved getting to "pose outside the box" and create images that capture how beautiful and loving you two are. There are MANY more photos, so you'll want to get started on them NOW if you want to see them all before the little man arrives, haha! You are going to be fantastic parents, and I can't wait to see your SON!

Hunter (The Couldn't-Wait-Until-It-Was-A-Decent-Hour Post)-

This little heart-breaker is Hunter! We met this week to shoot his one-year portraits, and I cannot tell you how great he was! The day had the potential to go south: As I was pulling into the parking lot, it started drizzling; Hunter's Mommy (also given the illustrious honor of being named Jennifer) had forgotten her cell phone; despite being forget-doing-your-hair humid, it was really very overcast; Hunter's Daddy was wearing New York paraphernalia; and, most importantly, it was LUNCHTIME! However, Hunter just toddled along like a champ and let the strange lady get in his face with a big, black camera. I kid you not, NONE of these were staged or posed. The entire session was us just following Hunter and letting him be adorable. Get a load of that smile! Those eyes! Those cheeks! He was a delight to capture, as you can see by the MANY favorites here!!!

Pretty much one of my absolute favorites! The color, the personality... it's great!

R Family, I had a blast braving the legendary Texas humidity and capturing Hunter's great big personality and smile to match!!! I can't wait to meet his sister this summer for family portraits. Bluebonnet Mini-Sessions - Book Now!

It's almost that time of year! Anyone worth their Texas salt knows that it's near blasphemy not to get your childrens' picture in the bluebonnets! In order to save you the "There's some!" moment as you drive down the highway, pull over and leave your car with the blinkers flashing, passers-by honking as you wade through litter and finally get a shot with the I-20 mile marker in the background, I am offering bluebonnet mini-sessions from the end of March through the first half of April, basically bluebonnet season. A 30-minute mini-session will cost $30 and get you 5-10 of the best shots, emailed to you in a high resolution, ready to forward on to grandparents or print as you like.
